@dxskofthearchivxst sent: "Looks like we're stuck together." for a sudden situation forces our muses into close quarters. ( Odd & David 👀)
It was a miracle that they weren't dead, after countless tons of steel and concrete and furniture and other things came crashing down over their heads. It was a good thing that the lower levels of the old derelict corporate office were basically built like a bunker.
David glowered at the man across from him. He had to be a runner, he simply had to. There was no other reason for anyone else to be in the empty building at the same time as him. The only reason why they hadn't duked it out -- before all the explosions went off -- was that both seemed to be here for different things and figured their missions weren't mutually-exclusive enough to get in each other's way.
SamsonCorp sure had a lot of skeletons in its closet.
Admittedly, Odd was the more reasonable one here. David wanted to shoot the possible interloper out of hand... It was usually safer that way, but he was glad he didn't, even despite the other man's words.
"We should still keep looking. There's got to be a basement or a sub-area or maintenance tunnels we can find a way out of. No one's going to be coming in to look for us, that's for sure..." He also wanted to do anything but engage in conversation right now.
