The prestigious McQuoid Potions Championship involves students from the various magical schools that are rising potioneers. This competition is held every seven years in a different enchanted-garden every year, in which the students show their potion-making skills by overcoming the many challenges the garden has. Much like the 1994 Triwizard Tournament where the Third Task took place in a maze inhabited by magical creatures, the students must deter magical creatures in the garden by using only potions.
The Championship is held every seven years and is only available to students 17 or older. Contact your Potionsmaster if you may be interested.
The Championship was established in 1407 in honour of the esteemed Potioneer Quintia McQuoid, who regretfully lost her life because of an improperly brewed potion. The Championship is organized by her descendants and the International Potions Guild who provide a unique cauldron to the winner of the Championship. The latest winner of the contest, a Mr. Heiji Shimada, won a solid onyx cauldron enchanted to work without a flame.
