Food for thought | Matelia

Celia had largely kept to herself since she’d been dumped, content to focus on her students and helping them through their courses. It had been a while now but it was still this ache that wouldn’t go away. The work had kept her distracted and busy. But then...well it went into the holidays and suddenly Celia found herself with far too much time on her hands. 

It was disconcerting. She found that she didn’t like it at all, and ended up texting Mateo to meet for lunch. Though Celia wasn’t the closest with him, she would admit that they had gotten along fairly well since that earthquake that disrupted town and caused them to go exploring together. Well sort of.

Either way they got on well enough, and Celia needed to get out of the apartment. So here she was at a table in Chippamunka. It was fairly cheap, and it had pretty good food. It was the perfect place for lunch. She asked for two waters to start with, and then caught sight of Mateo and waved him over toward the table. “Hi. How have you been?”

Surprise Me {Ollie & Mateo}

Ollie had two months before his girlfriend’s birthday which seemed like a lot of time. It was a lot of time but the thing was school was starting in a week and when that got started Ollie knew he would get wrapped up in his classes and he wasn’t willing to let Isa’s 18th birthday not get the attention is deserved.

Which meant he probably needed to talk to her family. The thing was.... it wasn’t like he felt all that welcomed so he wasn’t about to just walk up to their door and ask their opinion.

Nope. 

He was only going to approach in a safe and neutral zone. 

Weirdly enough that neutral zone was right here and right now and perhaps he had to say thank you for Cocoa begging for a walk that afternoon because low and behold was the least scary person in the Avalor crew.

So after a lot of mental motivation Ollie wandered over. “Uh hi?”

Not That Innocent | Ashley & Mateo

Ashley had been having a perfectly good day, thank you very much. She’d gotten her homework done in record time, walked her sweet dog, and she’d gotten a ride in on Garnet. Everything was going perfectly smoothly. 

Now, Ashley typically didn’t like going anywhere in her riding clothes, even if said clothes were perfectly styled and not a hair was out of place on her head (as she had fixed it post riding and helmet). Her trousers were the latest jodhpurs available, and her top a perfectly nice pink polo shirt tucked into it.

But all this to say that Ashley desperately craved a latte. So she made her way over to Hatter’s, keeping her head held high like this was the most natural look in the world. And on her? Why wouldn’t it be.

As she stepped into the shop, she did a cursory glance at the people in the room. Most were regulars such as herself, and Ashley was ready to tune them out in favor of texting one of her best friends. At least until she caught sight of him.

“Oh. My. God. How is that boy still allowed in the public sphere? Excuse me!” She shouted, trying to get Mateo’s attention, or even just the whole store’s. “Didn’t this guy help kill a girl? Are we all choosing to forget this?”

Ollie - blue because he’s so chill. 1.Let’s start with a tricky one; what is the real reason you are confused right now?

Arthur: Well I do not have all my memories...so that is more than enough reason to be confused isn’t it?

Ashley: I’m confused by how incompetent adults can be! Seriously scandalous.

Celia: Just in terms of feelings and someone...it’s just I don’t know.

Fflewddur: I’m not confused about anything. I’m great.

Jasmine: Choosing between my duty or my feelings for women. I guess I don’t know what the right move is.

Kanga: No reason. Everything makes sense.

Louie: Ugh the play stuff is kicking my assss

Vinny: My magic’s a fuckin’ disaster.

3.If your significant other smoked pot, would you care?

Arthur: What is pot?

Ashley: of course! It smells disgusting. No way does anyone I care about get to come near me with that.

Celia: I don’t think so. As long as they don’t expect me to do it.

Fflewddur: Nahh. Pot’s a good time.

Jasmine: Hmm...depends on how it affects them. 

Kanga: Yes. You really think I could just let that be?

Louie: Sounds like fun to me.

Vinny: Nah.

36.Do you have any summer plans yet?

Arthur: I will continue to work and do my duty as an officer.

Ashley: Yesss!!! Fix trend day drama and of course try to get a beach vacation in

Celia: Hmm...not sure. Might go to Italy.

Fflewddur: I take every day as it comes. Who knows? Maybe I’ll go somewhere or not.

Jasmine: If all goes well just to enjoy the summer in town and maybe plan for the elections in the fall.

Kanga: Work, look out for Roo, see if I can save enough to get us a mini vacation. We shall see.

Louie: Nope. But the plan is HAVE FUN!!

Vinny: I need to figure this out with my magic.

43.How many people have you had real, strong feelings for since high school ended?

Arthur: .....one I think.

Ashley: None but you know, still in secondary.

Celia: Two...well three...I guess. Not very many.

Fflewddur: Oh hundreds. But I like to say, if you don’t feel strongly for someone attractive, you’re wasting your time.

Jasmine: Well...I’ve never really felt strongly for anyone til recently. So maybe one.

Kanga: None. And honestly I think I’m better for it.

Louie: Uhhh....
