King Dominic...Murdered?
The Kingdom of Nore has entered into at state of mourning after King Dominic, ruler of Sol, suddenly passed away. As soon as the news was announced, immediately the Norns were atwitter. What had caused the King’s death? Was it old age? Illness? Or something else entirely? But it was King Dominic’s son, Prince Richard, who revealed the circumstances surrounding his father’s death.
It was a servant who happened upon King Dominic, a bloodied knife found only feet away from his body. Though it is not clear who did the hideous deed, Prince -- now King -- Richard is quite certain it was this weapon that was used to bring an end to his lord father’s life.
Perhaps the most troubling news of all is that of the knife’s origin. Upon closer inspection, the maker’s mark of well known Norn blacksmith Suzette Hart was discovered on the weapon. But what could this mean? Is there a royal murderer strolling the streets of Nore? Certainly, Suzette Hart herself couldn’t have done such a terrible thing...right?
There is much conjecture among Nore about who exactly is responsible, but one thing is for certain, and that is no one will rest easy until this mystery has been solved.
