Last night I had a dream where I was going through a bunch of t-shirts that were in storage after being retrieved from the house fire, and there it was... my wolf shirt collection. All of them. The one with the family of wolves standing in front of a sunset. The one with the proud native american cheif, and the bald eagle... little gestural drawings of tribal men riding horses adorned the bottom of the shirt, wrapping all the way around the back. The color-changing one from the Science Center. Souvenirs from every family road trip. Even a few more than I remember having ever owned. But that's the thing; I didn't lose my wolf shirt collection in the fire. It happened YEARS earlier, in a moment so horrifically devoid of foresight--I donated them to Goodwill. And I did it with my own two hands.
