First off- your artwork is amazing and I'm drooling over your art style. I've been trying to get better at digital art lately, but I've been struggling to move past linework into coloring. Do you have any guides you can refer me to? Thanks for the time, and thanks for the awesome blog 😊
Thank you very much! I’m really flattered you like my style.
Hmm when I was learning I used to just browse da for all kinds of tutorials but I’ve since then lost the links to those I’ve used unfortunately. Now when I look for some, I tend to check deviantart, pixiv, tumblr tags or just google even. This tumblr is pretty good too!
Apologies that I couldn’t direct you to a specific guide but I hope those places would still prove handy. Good luck with your art and have a great day!
I’m SO EXCITED
Two of my greatest friends in the entire universe recently got engaged and I was asked to be the Best Man! I’m going to buy matching tuxedos for their dog, Hank, and I!
Training question here. My boyfriend and I just adopted a shelter rescue dog. He like a cairn/schnauzer. He's very submissive- I suspect he hasn't had a home before now cus he doesn't seem interested in squeaky toys etc. it's very difficult to train him because A, he's not treat motivated and B, any punishment or reprimand of unwanted behavior leads to him submissive peeing or rolling over. He doesn't seem to be picking up basic stuff like sit. Any suggestions? Should we professionally train?
This guy's going to need a LOT of positive reinforcement, socializing, and desensitizing. When you say he's not treat motivated, do you mean treats, or also high value foods like hot dogs, beef jerky, ect. I would perhaps go to professional classes, yes, and I would also take him everywhere! Car rides, and especially into places that allow dogs like pet supply stores and hardware stores.
If he reacts to praise, then praise when you see his tail up, praise when you see his tail wagging, boost his confidence and let him know that being a happy dog is a good thing!
For the submissive peeing you could give him a belly band, and I discourage submissive rolling by turning and walking away. Though if you do go into the pet supply stores, I would NOT take him face to face with other dogs, as you don't want a setback with a negative experience.
Keep treats on you (high value) and ask strangers to offer them, but ask them not to make eye contact or lean over him, that could freak him out.
My standard poodle Vegas was very sound sensitive as a puppy, I kept him tethered and if there was a sound that was freaking him out, I'd sit with him for ten, twenty, however long it took for him to realize; hey I'm not dying. We did a couple training classes, a lot of socialization, and a lot of taking him everywhere.
Vegas is a super happy dog, loves people, loves strangers, and isn't reactive to anything.
I'm not a trainer, take anything I said with a grain of salt, these are just things that I've found work for me.

wolfsummer replied to your post:some day i’ll have a relationship like ygritte and...
have you read the books or just watched the show?
Just a big fan of the series. Which I know a lot of fans weren't very happy with how Ygritte was portrayed on the show (very pretty). I hope to read the books once I'm done with schooling.
