Hmm, you know, I rarely really get into moods where I need comforting like I used to. Even when I do though, I mostly find comfort in myself—I treat myself to something that’ll make me feel good, like a warm soak or delicious snack, or when I’m in a really bad place mentally, I’ll speak out loud to myself, very gently and lovingly, and I imagine that the part of me that feels bad is being spoken to a version of myself that’s supremely compassionate and wise and strong. I think self-soothing is really important. :^)
