Tunes Mr. Officer feat @reneeneufville ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Name: Danielle Wright Hometown: Hudson, OH; living in Cleveland area. Sports Biz Work/Primary Brand(s): I started working as a sports information student assistant at Hampton University during undergrad. Patricia Porter (Harvey) gave me my first opportunity and I never looked back. After HU, I went to @indiana_university for grad school and worked in athletics. After grad school I landed an internship with the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in Cleveland as a media relations assistant. In 2009 I landed my first full-time gig as a sports information director at @cau1988. After one year there, I moved to Kentucky State University to serve in the same capacity. I worked at the University of Cincinnati for a year as senior director for sports communications. Orgs: -National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA), the CoSIDA and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). She is a graduate of the 2011 NCAA/NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement, active member of the Black College Sports Information Directors of America (BCSIDA), named to the Black Women in Sport Foundation Advisory Board I believe I will always be involved in sports in some way. It's in my DNA. I played basketball, softball and field hockey from age 9 through my senior year in high school and co-host a sports talk radio show. Sports have an indelible impact on people and allow people to engage with one another, no matter what our differences may be. Describe what sports means to you: The bridge that connects people no matter their differences. Career Tip: Be yourself and be impeccable to your word. People respect what they know and perceive to be the truth. It's important that you are a person of integrity, honesty, diligence and dedication. If you cannot follow through on your word, people will not come to you for what they need.
