Going on a bear hunt
By New Year’s Day, the novelty of new toys is starting to wear off, but a wood pile on a snowy afternoon …? Well, the entertainment potential is practically endless.
“Can we climb on this wood?,” one of our visiting nieces inquired.
“Sure,” I replied, “but try not to wake up the bear who lives in there.”
The nieces didn’t quite believe my story but they didn’t quite disbelieve it either. Soon they were trying to peer between the logs, chanting "Going on a Bear Hunt."
Game on!
