Been busy with planter boxes last couple weeks. Still annoyed by the pallet wood not being straight ...but whatever. I think that is something I will solve later when I have machinery that can help me make the wood straight
Anyway. The thing that puts me off my creations is that I'm am not in control of how they look afterwards. Seconhand wood - you get what you get.
And even my mentor carpenter emphasised this.
Anyway.....what I found I could do, and made me more keen to build, was processing the wood myself.
Initially I thought you just have to remove the scruff and add a coating of something and then you're good to go. Kaantie.
Yesterday I spent another session cleaning the pallete woods with the grinder and sander...and well, came out better.
So that's what we learnt.
Dnt be stingy when it comes to preparing the wood
Look at the difference tho.
Feel like I should go over my previous projects with some sandpaper again
