Still Life
Hamlet 1:1Our Lives Are Ephemeral: "Rough Draft"
On Monday, March 26 Mr. Ziebarth had us write down as many "I am a child of..." as we could in a matter of 10 minutes. I was only able to come up with four but my favorite one that I wrote down was I am a child of a blessed life. We also had to come up with something we believe in. I believe in being content with what you have. I strongly believe in this because no matter what life throws out at you, it could be much worse.
I am a child of a blessed life - who doesn't take it for granted. Who has been supported and taken care of a hundered and ten percent. I remember easter egg hunts at grandma and grandpas extravagant palace and getting spoiled like no child should be. I feel ashamed for people who have absolutely nothing when I have things that I have only played with or used once. And see how I used the word "things" like I can't name what I have. That's sad. As I have gotten older I am more and more aware of how life is for some people and once I experienced it once it truly hit home. In the belief of being content with what you have, remember what life really could be like while you are worrying about not being able to go out with your friends this weekend.
This is all I have written so far, but I think I am really getting somewhere.
