As a nod to the past, a recess was built in the wall of this bucktown home to display unique trimwork pulled from the wreckage of a demolished 1880s workers cottage. Though the old structure could not be saved due to decades of neglect and unsafe structural modifications, great effort was made to reflect the history of the site and build a new home ready to withstand the next hundred years. — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2P17nJZ
