The next World Moot will be in Iceland.
Oh, wow.
I remember posting the original of this photo some time ago, and making the same joke - but I can't help myself here.
Mal', you're leading the world!
Tonight a Brazilian boy danced with me and literally told me that if my Australian boyfriend really liked it then I should have a ring on it.
And I just don't feel I need to explain much more about my first night with World Scout Moot participants in Ottawa.
CULTURE PATH IN TORONTO.
Global Development Village, Aquatic activities (building rafts, canoeing, etc), Short Excursions (half-day hike), Climbing Tower and a fully day of Rafting.
Not too shabby, after all.
Now officially stressed out. I leave in a week.
I don't have my contingent pack including packing list. I don't have a tent or sleeping gear or a way to factor that into a month of travelling across 8 states before Moot.
I haven't been assigned my patrol yet, so I don't know what path, urban experience or activities I'm doing and what gear I might need for that - hiking, etc.
I leave in a week.
Help.
So I won't receive my packing list until after I've already left Australia. World Moot strikes again...
So in general I'm obviously just super excited about going away and how soon and real it is.
But crew elections gave me some of the first real anxieties I've had. About being away from Rovers for so long and missing a lot. And being away from Ryan. I don't wanna feel left behind, it sounds silly but a lot will happen in two months and no-one likes to believe their world goes on without them.
Mew.
Ugh watching everyone get allocated patrols and start voting for their delegates and choose their activites for the whole moot...
This whole fuck-up kind of mattered more than "only 3 days of one great experience" since it dictates the patrol I'm with the whole time yknow.
