I am still processing what happened on Saturday, what a night it was!
It started with super talented Jez Dior and 12AM supporting, and after them Creme Fraiche came up on stage, followed by superhero himself, George Watsky. The gig itself was everything and even more than I expected. There were lots of new songs (Pink Lemonade, Don’t Be Nice, Midnight Heart, Knots, Roses, Talking to Myself, Brave New World) but also lots of old ones (Wounded Healer, Moral of the Story, Sloppy Seconds, Seizure Boy, Never Let It Die, Whoa Whoa Whoa as an encore). They did the whole Tiny Glowing Screens trilogy, and it was incredible. The whole band did an amazing job.
After the show we went to the vip thingy. There were just 5 people including me, so we basically just sat there and chatted about all of his work, the upcoming projects (they are super exciting!), how he really wanted to play Poland, how he wants to find out more about this side of his family and everything in between.
I’ve also shown him X Infinity bomber jacket just hoping he’ll like it. Not only he liked it, he snapped a few photos of it, which made my whole evening. When You go to talk to someone how much You like his artwork, just to find yourself being complimented on yours, is an undescribable feeling, and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. Camila Recchio and Jez Dior’s dj also liked it a lot.
I’ve also talked to the rest of the guys briefly, but I got to chat a bit more with Kush Mody. Super happy that I got to do that, I really got into his music this year and he was super sweet, he said he appreciate it very much. I’m happy that I could bring smile on his face.
All of the guys were super sweet and it’s just so nice they don’t try to be any sort of celebrities, they’re just regular guys with passion just like all of us.
Overall it was really heartwarming evening, and I hope I’ll have a chance to repeat it one day.
Also Watsky signed my jacket, so there’s that.
