A „Three-in-One Package“

Why is it so much more easy for us to believe in Jesus, his death, and his resurrection than for peace and healing?

Isaiah 53:5 says, „But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” (NLT)

This tells me that what Jesus did for us was a three-in-one package... he died on that cross to take my rebellion, my sin, my fear, pain, and sickness. He took all of it! Our person in it’s entirety can be whole, body, soul, and spirit.

"All that wonder are not lost." - J.R.R.Tolkin •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• For the last several days @gi_inc has been shooting in one of the most remote parts of Northern Turkana, Kenya. There is a severe drought decimating the landscape and livestock that the nomadic people of this region have relied upon for centuries to survive. @worldrelief is the only NGO permanently based in this region of Africa and is actively working to help the approximately 150,000 indigenous people who reside here to improve their sustainable practices and learn agricultural techniques that are literally the difference between life and death in times of sustained drought. Many villages have lost 90% of their livestock and with no end in sight to the drought these remote people are in desperate need of reliable sources of water not dependent on the seasonal rains. They need a viable means of nourishing their livestock well beyond the rainy seasons and during times of extreme environmental crisis. The @worldrelief team here in #Kenya is doing a brilliant job of bringing an understanding of these practices to the forgotten people of #Turkana but they are vastly under resourced.
