I noticed something about shipping

Am i the only one who noticed that in most shipping war or shipping discussion, people tend to only talk about how the guys are worthy or unworthy ? Not only as if love was a question of ‘worthyness’ or ‘deserving’ anything but also as if the girls didn’t have to earn the relationship while the guys did ? i mean, for exemple, i see no one talking about how Katara didn’t deserve Aang, i mostly see people talking about how HE didn’t deserve her.

Same for other fandoms, like dragon ball where people talk about Vegeta / Yamcha not ‘deserving’ Bulma but never about Bulma deserving or not any of them.

I’m the only one seeing that or what ? maybe (probably) i’m missing some stuff so it could just be me seeing things.
