I finally married she
Games my mom got confused in her head, based on the conversation we just had:
Stardew Valley [”That’s the farming game smol and I like.” “Oh is that one-”]
Harvest Moon: Rune Factory [”-where I went around chopping people with an axe?” “No, that’s Rune Factory.” “Oh. Then is it the one-”]
Animal Crossing: New Leaf [”-where you can catch bugs and butterflies?” “No, that’s Animal Crossing.” “Well darnit, then which one is the one-”]
Halfway Autumn (my original game) [”-that has all the seasons in it?” “They all have four seasons.” “No there’s one with lots of seasons!” “Halfway Autumn? It has six seasons.” “Yes, that one!” “That’s my game, it’s not even done! Here, I’ll just show you a picture.” *shows Rune Factory* “Well now that looks like another game, the one-”]
Dragon Quest IX [”-with the tree and the train!” “DQIX?” “I guess so? Is that the one-”]
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time [”-with Link?” “That would be Legend of Zelda.” “Oh. You have that one right?” “Yeah I do.” “I remember you playing that one.”]
A Rune Factory NPC concept
I don't know who had this game before me but they're obviously flexing on me
So I kinda have this headcanon that Raguna (or whatever you named your protag) functions on Spoon Theory (and Fork Theory a little bit)
He’s got Rune Points that are effectively what he can do in a day without hurting himself - after that, it literally hurts his body to do more activities. He can of course take a bath (I also find it cute that bath time is really the only talk he talks unprompted haha) and regain both his HP and RP, but still only up to his max.
I also know that I, as a player who doesn’t experience chronic pain, tend to push him pretty hard. I try to maximize what he can do in the day by mining and fishing after he’s done with his daily necessities or spending the entire day after a typhoon. So I always feel weird when I don’t end up needing to go to the bath house, either when it’s raining or my crops are ready to be harvested and I have a surplus of RP to gather.
I dunno, it just got me thinking. I don’t know how accurate it is, but I’d be curious to know!
tiptoze replied to your post: “I love this song”
only god knows what the lyrics are and that's a rune factory fact™
I would be tempted to look up what the lyrics were intended to be but it feels sacrilegious somehow
Rune Factory has stolen away my entire day
