How you can take a mere 2168 words + spin such a beautiful story full of many episodes + insights + growth + healing + restoration + renewal. Before reading The Sparrow I've never imagined Andrew with a chronic physical condition that would significantly impede his physical abilities. But now that I have, I can imagine him being his same Andrew Minyard self, albeit with a stronger hopeful streak, even if it's not obvious. Of course, having Neil as a gardener + Renee as his dear friend help a lot. Here's to all of us making beauty out of the dirt fields in our lives.
