Thanks. I'm going to need it...I'll just have to swallow my pride and ask for help now. At least I know they'd help me. I just hate the fact that it has come to this. I had workers tell me the only reason they are at this job site is because I'm the one running it. Inexperienced as I am, they rather deal with me than my boss. Sad. In any case! Thanks for the encouragement! 😄 I really needed it tonight. This is an all-time low for me.

What about straight 'shifter' for transgender? Or would you assume that would be insinuating that their identities are not set in stone and not indicative of their journey from realisation to emerging? I can't speak from experience, but I understand that there different degrees and personal perceptions of transness, but shifter to me implies that it's a natural progression. Probably a trans follower would be more qualified to answer but, that's what popped into my head. Hope someone can help. :)

yeah, ‘shifter’ could possible suggest some fluidity and inconsistency but I still see what you’re getting at as it definitely evokes some kind of change. I think to a certain extent it doesn’t matter what word is used as long as you explicitly define it within the narrative so there’s no ambiguity. It’s a good start at least, thanks very much for the suggestion!

Psst, is your fic log up to date Prel? I'm so behind but I have a craving for a marathon reading sesh and I want to know if it's reasonable to hope I can read things in some sort of order. Glad to know you're still writing regularly. Hope you're well matey xx

aaaah! well, yes! It should be, although truth be told I have been meaning to sit down and make a new masterpost, just to sort of freshen things up, but all of my major projects are reasonably current! Ao3 is the best place to find things collected and posted as near to completion as possible.

Heavenward is wrapped up to a satisfactory degree (I still need to write an epilogue and I still intend to write an epilogue, it’s just, y’know, LIFE. but it does come to an ending!). I rewrote the first couple chapters and I would love it if i had time to rewrite the whole thing.

Harvard as a series is finally something I started to take seriously as its own major work and not just a silly side thing that I play with from time to time. It’s as readable from start to finish as it ever has been, and it’s latest big addition, Close Quarters, should be wrapping up sooner than later. CQ takes place in a 24 hour period within Harvard Hypocrite’s actual canon, and is really just a big dense emotional character study, fleshing these boys out and letting them talk to each other.

An Endlessly Rising Canon remains as nonsensical and ridiculous as ever and I have my heart set on finishing it, but it is still completely wild from start to middle, requires both Heavenward and Swallow’s BBT as prerequisite reading, and given the nature of it, it’s the hardest one to know when i’m going to have time to wrangle with it. Still good, tho.

And my latest Big Project is called Talented Amateurs, and it’s basically just a big ol ship fic. It’s going to have three major pairings, with the focus on Penny/Gordon, and it’s really just me with an excuse to pull out all the stops and write a ridiculous amount of romance, because I am good at that.

(also if you would be interested/willing feel free to hit me up privately to talk about The Orion Protocol, which still exists and just wants some life breathed back into it, I just need a dedicated beta to kick me in the ass repeatedly.)
