Íbamos en la prepa. Un día me regaló un ejemplar de “Crónicas marcianas”. En la primera hoja escribió: “Ojalá alguna vez pueda dedicarte un libro mío, pero mientras disfruta de éste, que está muy chido”. No era un libro nuevo. En realidad, le pertenecía y eso lo volvió más valioso. Desde la primera línea me voló la cabeza. Ignoro si alguna vez en efecto me habrá dedicado un libro de su autoría, pero yo siempre le estaré agradecido. Me hizo adicto a contar historias. Por eso le dedico estas palabras. Muchos años después, exploraba el Sunset Strip de Los Ángeles cuando entré a una liberaría y aunque debí haberme comprado un libro, me hice mejor de esta camiseta de Ray Bradbury. Dicen que hoy es Día del Escritor. Si alguien me ha leído, la culpa es de aquella persona a quien no menciono para que no le vayan a reclamar.
