Don’t miss this
I find the grandest window in the house
and press my face against the panes of light
swimming through - warming my throat
which awakens constricted some mornings
with cold denial, flailing in its chaotic manner
away, away from the blooming - the saplings
sprouting up and shouting at nerve endings
“Spring is coming and you must feel it!”
vibrations escape from its frigid prison
“I must, I must!”
vowing in every way to not miss this.
