I was once again reminded of how difficult it was to work with the characters from season 1. Like, they all don't trust each other, they fight, and they're so disorganized. Like, everything is so bad there, it's just so bad.

Chapter 1: Cinderella, or Why You Should Never Wear Another’s Shoes
Available for reading at Ao3!
Chapter Summary:
“I want to die,” Lance groaned, burying his face in his hands. “I’m a cursed, perverted version of Cinderella. I’ve got the mice, I’ve lost the slipper, and now I have a prince. This is it. I’m done.” Hunk patted his back sympathetically. For the first time, Keith genuinely considered hurling the other slipper into the stratosphere.
Yay! Here's the chapter, don't forget to share your comments and make some tea before reading! :)

Am I the only one who feels like writing Eleven in fic is… kind of hard? Especially if we’re talking about early season one, right after she leaves the lab. Her vocabulary is so weird and uneven.
Like — she doesn’t know what a tomato is, but she does know what isolation is. Even if the meaning she knows isn’t the one we usually use. I swear I have to reread my own paragraphs two or three times just to simplify them down to a level that actually fits where she’s at development-wise.
Spoiler for Chapter 5 of “Scientific Study: How to Tell If You Are a Disney Princess. Author: Keith Kogane” by Garden_Secret
“Ah! It’s just Momo,” Lance said, crouching down and reaching inside. When Keith walked over, he saw a pink duckling comfortably nestled in Lance’s hands. Among the soft pink feathers, he noticed a new collar — probably something Coran had put on her while they weren’t looking. “You named the duck after that text monster?” Keith sighed, wiping the blood from his face and trying not to grimace at the metallic taste in his mouth. “I thought you’d go for something cute. Or at least funny.” “What text monster? I named her after the pink coral found off the coast of Japan. How do you not know that?” Lance looked at him like he was the idiot — which, honestly, was fair. The only thing Keith associated with the word Momo was that one creepy article about an internet monster he’d read on some bizarre horror wiki. Maybe it was the hit to the nose, or maybe the lack of sleep, but he still found himself asking: “Wait— isn’t Coral already a name?” Lance’s expression alone conveyed pure disappointment, and Keith decided that, yeah, apparently corals do have names.
I’m back to working actively on this fic again! Sorry it’s been taking a while — mostly because of college workload and health stuff — but I’m fully back on track now, and I hope you’ll enjoy the new chapter once it’s out 💙 (I hope no one thought that I actually abandoned this story?)
Hey guys! As some of you already know, I’m currently working on a “Voltron reaction” fanfic. While drafting it, I realized I’m not sure what format would be best for the transcription (the text version of the episode). So I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Option 1: Name: "spoken line," action&emotion while speaking. Other actions on screen.
Example:
Allura: "In the meantime, I’ll prepare the castle’s defense systems. We’ll definitely need them," she finished with a slight hint of distaste in her voice. The shot pulls back, revealing Coran standing nearby. Coran: "And I’ll prepare the pod and load the coordinates of the Green Lion. Wait for us outside." With a wave of his hand, as if shooing away stubborn birds, he herded them into the hallway.
Option 2: "Dialogue," action&emotion while speaking, "dialogue." action&emotion while speaking. Other actions on screen.
Example:
"In the meantime, I’ll prepare the castle’s defense systems," the screen shifts to Allura, "We’ll definitely need them," she finished with a slight note of distaste. "And I’ll prepare the pod and load the coordinates of the Green Lion," the shot slowly pulls back to show Coran, "Wait for us outside," and with a wave of his hand, as if shooing away stubborn birds, he sent them into the hallway.
Again, this is all in draft form, so please don’t take any of this as the final version — even if you’re choosing between the first and second format.

Chapter 3: Anna, or The Love We Choose To Believe In
Finally available for reading at Ao3!
Chapter Summary:
“Remember when Lance’s ‘I’m cold’ whining stopped being a joke and became a countdown? When we realized that the crap he was chained to was just the remnant of a destroyed planet whose atmosphere, and with it, oxygen, was about to vanish? That if we, a bunch of useless amateurs, didn’t punch through that meteor storm in time, Lance would die? Is that fairy-tale enough for you, Keith?”
I swear every chapter ends up longer than the last and I have no idea how that keeps happening. But here we are again — enjoy the read! :)
Don’t forget to leave a comment — and if you think I should add any warnings to the chapter, feel free to let me know!

I’m not actually using this snippet anywhere in my fic, but I couldn’t bring myself to just delete it. So here it is:
To the cosmos, she is nothing more than a fragment. But to her, the cosmos is everything she is. The cosmos has no name, no feelings, no tangible form. Unlike her, it is infinite and many-sided, untouchable and unkillable. She only knows that she once existed — maybe in that star, maybe in that nebula. She knows it must have been warm, because warmth is what she always longs for. But the cosmos is cold, and it cannot hold warmth. She is made of cosmos, and because of that, she is cold too. Reaching for warmth, for life, for feelings and memory is useless — she must be cosmos, and the cosmos must be her. And yet, the cosmos has no rules. Which means neither does she. So again she craves warmth, diving into that desire so deeply that maybe — just maybe — the cosmos, for the first time, becomes a little smaller with her in it. Maybe, in that second, she will cease to be cosmos and become herself. The moment Allura realized she truly existed, she wanted to break down and cry.
