Hey, I don't wanna rush you or anything but I just started reading Order of Protection and I was wondering how often you update
Hi Anon - thanks so much for starting my story! I hope you're enjoying it! (No worries about the rushing it bit - I can understand being eager to read more! :D )
Okay, simple answer is - I don't actually have a 'set' posting schedule. No particular day that I post. What I do try to do is to post a chapter at least once a week - sometimes more often than that if they happen to be shorter chapters or if I know I'm going to be out of touch for a few days - somewhere with no net, or at a con for instance. (or if I'm getting too antsy and just want to put one up)
So that, technically, is your answer.
However, your question got me kinda curious to how often I actually *do* post!
So ignoring the short stories, I took a look on A03 at my 5 long fics (the public ones anyway. I have another 60k finished story that I wrote during Scared and it just got it's posting date announced! MY first BB - I'm so excited!!) and compared number of chapters vs the length of time it took to post the whole story.
First: Don't Be Afraid to Dream (73k) averaged a chapter every 2 days over 107 days (But most of the 61 chapters were VERY short)
Second : Colliding Worlds (54k) averaged a chapter every 5 days over 91 days (these 18 chapters were a little bit longer and consistent in length)
Third: Scared to Act (118k) averaged a chapter nearly every 5 days over 243 days (these 51 chapters were also longer than the first story, though not as long - or as consistent in length as Colliding Worlds was)
Fourth: Route 66 (33k) - WIP On Hold - skews the results to a chapter every 23 days (but the 8 chapters are much longer, and like I said, on hold) over 183 days
Current WIP: Order of protection (27k) is (currently) averaging a chapter almost every 3 days over 26 days
So it looks like, aside from the one abnormality on the list, i can confidently say to expect a chapter every 2 - 5 days :DThanks for your question! (Sorry it took so long to answer it. I was at work when it came in)
