Rewatching clips from H5O after a few weeks break and seriously, I normally don't go so much with the they're obviously in love etc. the writers are writing it as such (though I enjoy the shipper's goggles reading). I'm pretty good at being able to look at it from the- how this could be read from a platonic angle.

But Danny and Steve. Seriously. It's a love story. It's that kind of, I really don't think I could survive without you partnership that honestly reads like one of those really slow build romances where they spend about seven series dancing around it all etc. 

I also think it's one of the few shows that if they did pair them up romantically, could make it work really well and get a lot of storyline out of the slow build, changing relationship dynamics and not ruin it all at all. 

It probably won't happen, but with this pairing it could, without being stretched at all. And without making Catherine disappear into the ether or become some harridan.
