Quick reminder for those who read fanfics:

You cant control the plot, only the writer does. And if the fic takes a turn you didn’t like, just stop reading it. There’s no excuse to send hate to the author, or to ask them to rewrite their work!

I understand that maybe you liked the fic and you wanted to finish reading it, but if it doesn’t make you happy anymore, like a book you lost interes in, then just stop reading (?), don't take your frustration our on the author.

Also, you don’t have to explain why you’re not readind it anymore, especially if no one asked you. There’s no need to be rude to the writter.

Damn, it's like some of you need to go back to kindergarden!

It's half past four in the morning in my country and I can't sleep because my brain won't let me sleep, I have a lot of ideas in my head and I really want to pour them out in my writing but I really need to sleep.

I've written more than five drafts but every time I want to finish it, my brain comes up with a new idea of ​​a different character and it makes me want to cry.

Have you ever experienced that moment when suddenly some voices sound in your head, then you realize they are the blorbos you are writing about; these characters seem to be alive in your mind and are having a conversation that makes total sense with what you are writing as if out of nowhere the words came to your mind while you were doing anything else; still, when you plan to write those perfect dialogues, they vanish from your mind like water in your hands?

My Fanfiction Writing Problems

I can write for hours and hours and just leave in my drive to rot, unfinished, but...almost 10,000 words. There are so many of these unfinished unloved documents in my drive. I have ABO fics, happier soulmate fics, suicide fics, and even my most selfhated but best modern au fic.

Other times I can’t get any motivation to write the things I want to work on, or I have to be in a certain mood to write it. Ark666 on Archive of Our Own is me. So many things I’ve written and haven’t finished in the drive; not even a single chapter. There are a few fics that I have posted that I cannot bring myself to continue. The RE one is too old for me to do. The Left 4 Dead 2 one I have to be depressed to write.

I’m crying into my tea because I just came up with a fic idea for Daisy’s birthday that can fill one of my MCU Kink Bingo square and two if not three of the prompts in my ask box, and it’s too late to get it done for today.
