I overestimated myself. On my quest to draw all the Sun Wukongs from my fanfic, I decided to draw THREE SUN WUKONG VERSIONS.

This is Sun Wukong from Monkey King Reborn (I nicknamed him Ash). His outfit is so iconic and pretty and SO DETAILED I couldn’t do him justice.

I also kinda have a tiny crush on him. But he is SO HARD TO DRAW EVERY SINGLE FUR STRAND IS VISIBLE IN HIS MOVIE-

The reason why his tail is a different color and other mistakes is because (I’m sure Ash is responsible) my 100 or something numbered color pencils spilled and got mixed up.

He’s pissed I know he is. I’m sorry I couldn’t do you justice my beautiful monkey king. 😭

I drew my baby boy Sun Wukong from Monkey King 2009! I think my Liu Er sketch looked prettier ngl. But he’s so cute if only I could draw him correctly.

I used so many colors for him. But I’m so proud and happy with my second attempt at drawling fingers and the rest of the body in detail. XD

His waist is SNATCHED just like Ash’s.

Wait why does he kind of look like he’s up to no good? You already know this is Wukong from Lego Monkie Kid.

HE WAS SO EASY TO DRAW COMPARED TO THE OTHER SUN WUKONGS. And he’s SO SMALL AND ADORABLE!!

Not to mention his Lego hands are a gift because fingers and toes are so hard to draw.

That’s all for now. I’ll take a break but I’m gonna keep improving for my fanfiction’s and my fans’ sake. (I still can’t believe people like my works).

The 1999 cartoon is the version of Journey to the West I grew up with and it will always have a special place in my heart <3 This is a scene recreation from one of my fav episodes (E45: 大圣斗三魔 / The Great Sage Squares tf Up on 3 Demons) that I thought really humanized Wukong! Tried a different style of shading and I think I don't like it as much :/ please don’t repost without credit

You see, I've been thinking about this, since I have an Oc that paired with Wukong and therefore, that Oc has its respective versions just like every dependent Wukong in the universe.

and likewise, it depends on the universe what type of relationship they have

either husbands

consorts

lover

boyfriend

or in love, so I just think of my Oc as if he were "reader" or "Y/N" that is, Jian (my Oc)

Also, I love the idea of ​​the reaction of the different Wukong and their partners when seeing their respective versions

🍑Let's start with Monkey King Nexflit and his partner (Jia); since these, obviously (in my universe) would be the stupid boyfriends who are in love, insecure and don't know where the future will take them. They barely know each other, and they deal with each other's flaws, they fight, they fight a lot, but they reconcile again. Furthermore, this wukong would be cheeky and say things like.

"My girlfriend is obviously more beautiful" and his partner reprimands him.

"Wukong! Don't be rude!"

🍑 Next comes The Reborn Wukong and his shitty attitude, along with his little bunny with a devil character. Reborn Wukong doesn't want to socialize, he feels uncomfortable. He also doesn't like that his own versions of him look at his partner with those romantic eyes (after all, also on his partner from another universe). his Jian reprimands him, and apologizes to the others.

🍑Hero Wukong is back, he would also be grumpy but willing to socialize more, because being around his partner calms him down.

🍑LMK Wukong is... shit... the king of the party! The extroverted and lively Wukong ma is cheeky with his other versions and if it weren't for his heavenly partner he would have ended up in a friendly fight (which would end up destroying half of the universe hahahahaha 😂), is respectful of the other versions of his partner.

🍑Nezha reborn and his partner I left last because I imagine this couple as the adult, educated and mature couple. They have been together for thousands of years, that does not mean that they are the most sensual and experienced couple 🔥😈😈😳😏, they will observe their versions with tenderness and give them advice, since they remember their long past being together.

now let's go with the "Y/N" or "Jian"

GIRLS MEETING, in a nutshell, since they would get along, they chat about their stories and relationships, complaining about their troublesome monkeys but saying how much they love them and sharing the occasional fiery piece of advice (wink wink 🔥).

In conclusion for me, this would be the hierarchy of each Wukong's relationship with his partner based on his stories and from my personal perspective.

LMK Wukong and Nezha reborn: they would be the official spouses, the husbands. They are happily married and satisfied (😏)

Nexflit: they would be couples in love, they have a long way to go and years to travel together.

The hero is back: life partners and lovers, his "Y/N" would be his official and legitimate spouse.

and Wukong reborn: passionate lovers 🔥😈😏
