We are losing fic writers in this fandom, in every fandom really. People spend their own time, figuring out what to write, writing it, editing it, just to put it out there for everyone to enjoy, and you're accusing writers of using AI? I'm sorry that's absurd to me. The audacity that some people have. This is why writing (not just to me, but I've spoken to other people) has become a chore, why should we put out work, for you to accuse people of AI? If you don't think you/other people can write without the help of AI, that's on YOU. Writing can be freeing, and fun, even if its being done just for enjoyment and you don't want to share it. Stop tearing writers down, writers spend their time curating works of art, truly, for people to consume.
