For my let em breathe brothers: I was recently asked why I keep some of my figures in the package and I figured I would publicly share my reasoning. It is not because I plan to sell my collection for profit. I’ve collected my whole life, have only ever sold doubles I don’t need and believe it or not, MOC is *not* the only way to sell figures. My reason revolves around the same reason I love action figures in the first place- I see them as art. I admire the varying designs and I appreciate the time the designers put into making our favorite (and least favorite) figures. I feel the packaging design and *artwork* is just as admirable, but not as appreciated. Having worked in graphic design in the past, I have a respect for the techniques and (many) hours that went into creating this ART. At the same time, I also enjoy reading the character bios, stats and stories included on them. Nostalgia is another reason. Seeing these packaging design brings me back to the days of when they were the newest lines. I can still picture my local Toys R Us loaded with WWF figures when I look at my MOC Hasbros. While keeping figures in the package can result in a more valuable figure, it is not the only reason collectors choose this route. While some only enjoy the plastic, I enjoy the whole package. Hope this sheds some light and provides a new perspective. ✌🏼 . . . . . #wweelitesquad #wweelite #toys #figures #wwefigs #raw #actionfigurephotography #wrestling #nxt #wrestlingtoys #ringsidecollectibles #ecw #wwefunko #mattel #mattelelite #wwf #wwetoys #wwefigures #wwe #wrestlingfigures #wweactionfigures #figlife #toycollector #jakks #aew #scratchthatfigureitch #toyphotography #wwemattel #actionfigures #wrestlingfigs @majorwfpod https://www.instagram.com/p/B9xcHH-JvcY/?igshid=u5lh086aeg4n
