It didn’t take long for Koma to get back to base. He knew there was things he should do first - like report to his Trainer, and to his Trainer’s bosses. But he was more interested in evaluating the tapes.
He thought they would get to that right away - start going through evidence to locate the identities of the culprits right away...
...but when the Officer that took the tapes stated he was ordered to turn them into their superiors... it caught Koma off-guard. He tried to ask the cop to turn them over to him, but the guy simply stated he was ordered to hand them over to someone who even out-ranks Koma.
At first, this enraged him. He didn’t want to cut through layers of red-tape, he wanted to get straight to work! However, he reasoned to himself, this was probably because this case had the potential of being a ‘High Profile Case’. It’s not every day a Princess is kidnapped. The higher-ups probably were going to review the footage themselves, right?
Instead of dwelling on it, he went straight to the chief's office, to talk to him in person. He quickly approached, and knocked on the door, “Chief? You in there? I want to talk to you about the security footage taken from the kidnapping today.”
