There's a smile that pulls at the wolf's lips as he looks over at the other, a plate of food in hand but nothing spectacular. It was an arrangement of fruits, cheeses, and meats for her to munch on. "I may have heard your stomach growl a bit." Will admits, his smile shifting to smirk as he settles beside her. His attention slowly moves over to see his own dog, the young german shepherd staring up at him with begging eyes. "No, Trigger, none for you." He says with a stern look before going back to her. "Plus, I mean, I was getting a little hungry too and it's a bit too early for dinner." Will chuckles as free hand runs through long brown hair. "Speaking of, was their anything in particular you wanted? Later that is, after this little appetizer for you of course." He nudges her a little bit as the plate is offered to her and away from his dog.

There's a chuckle that leaves the wolf, not even fighting the fact as she moves into his lap and practically curls up against him. It had become her space, her comfort and in turn it had also become his. It felt right to have her there, to have her in his arms and on his lap. She hadn't even said a word and the way she started to curl into him more, her head resting on his shoulder, it made his brow start to furrow just slightly. "Is something wrong, baby?" He asks, one hand lifting to wrap around her thigh to keep her steady on his lap while the other wrapped around her middle. "You tired or is this you just wanting to be comfortable?" He continues on with another question but he still holds her tight in his embrace to make sure she wasn't going to fall off at any point.

"It seems our mothers would get along then." Will chuckles a bit in reply. "Though I can't argue with it either. After all these years, it definitely feels like it." He's been through far too much over the centuries to not think so, hell even having his mother still around was something he was thankful for. "But what has you thinking like that right now? Everything okay?" He questions with an arched brow as his gaze looks her over to make sure nothing visible was the issue. And from what he could see, she appeared find but that didn't mean she was alright mentally. He knew that was always something, his best friend had his own struggles in his mind despite how he tried to hide it all. Will knew him well enough to know when he was having his harder days. Which is why now he waits to see what she has to say.

An unfamiliar scent had entered the woods, his woods. Of course he would be alerted by those in his pack who kept watch on shifts to make sure they all stayed safe. They alerted him to the possible threat that could be encroaching on their home. As the alpha, he went to go investigate. It was his duty to protect his people. The wolf knew these lands like the back of his hand, it was how he so easily managed to follow the scent. Will observed from the shadows the trees granted him, expression dark as he watched the unknown figure. But then what or whoever it was spoke up. Refraining from hiding, he steps out of the shadows to reveal himself with hands clenched into tight fists. “Impressive you heard me. Who are you and what are you doing here?”
