I really love this picture I captured of them today. ❤️ still taking time to process that he’s nine years old and an independent young man now. I was feeling a little out of sorts today, and everyone was also feeling it, grumbling and fighting around me. he offered to carry her on our walk. and she loved it, being held by her big brother that she adores. she will look for him, and snuggle with him, and watch him quietly as he plays on his iPad. so heartwarming to see them ❤️ . trying my best to raise them as a family, of big brother and little sister who need to be there for each other, through thick and thin. they may fight, they will disagree and yes, through the tears, but there’s no one else who the can count on more than each other 🌈 #xanderandiris #siblings #familyiseverything https://www.instagram.com/p/CEjcuK5Je0N/?igshid=zgg32cbaamh2

a beautiful sunny winters day, so I decided to walk to pick him up. we ended up leaving late (Iris does love to eat!), so pretty much RAN with the stroller to get to the kid on time. and then, that’s when we enjoyed a lovely slow walk home, chatting and playing all the way back.
