Microsoft 初推出時的名稱只是簡單地叫 Xbox，而後繼機不是用 Xbox 2 去命名而直接改名字 Xbox 360 , 而現時的就是 Xbox One , 快將推出的還有 Xbox One S . 不講不知 , 原來 Xbox 360 還有一個名字，就是叫 Xbox 3！

但是為何會有 Xbox 3 而不會是 Xbox 2 這個名字呢？原來跟死對頭 Sony 的 PlayStation 有關。

日日前外國媒體 IGN 訪問 Xbox 前負責人 Robbie Bach 時，Robbie Bach 表示 Microsoft 曾認真地想將這代主機命名為 Xbox 3。因為當時 Sony 已推出 PlayStation 3，而 Microsoft 新一代 Xbox 的對手就是 PlayStation 3。

Selon lui, cette décision est dû au fait que "le wifi c’est pas cool, après ça fout le bordel y’a des ondes partout.
