Change of scenery today. Walt Disney called it cross pollination....I’m in Toronto taking in the Interior Design Show #ids19. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was expecting but I managed to walk away with new vibes. I sat through a seminar on biophilic design (designing to address people’s inherit need to connect with nature) put on by the Chief Brand Officer of @inscapecorp. Found an easy to install green wall system I can implement from @bynaturedesign. And then, just generally enjoyed some of the displays. Some of the highlights: a contemporary, flat-pak, tiny cabin design by @thebackcountryhutcompany ; @nerofiredesign with their next gem water vapour fireplace (yes, it’s water vapour and I’ll touch more on this in a later post); some interesting wood structures; and hanging out at the #HFPLAYHOUSE #XboxDesigbLab booth.
