hi geeks and freaks (if you're not one of those why do you follow me),
long time no see. been trying to spend more time doing other stuff than scrolling tumblr. might return to activity eventually but for now probably not.
can i get some advice? i've done the easy part of figuring out that i am, in fact, probably girl or girl adjacent but i've had that done for a while but have done nothing about it. all of the actions just seem too scary and i don't have many close irl friends so idk what to doooo :( just buy a skirt and wear it when i'm alone and suffer? i'd really appreciate some input.
XFCE 4.20 OUT!
coming soon to a distro near you
confession: i was an ubuntu user for about a year or two and didn't hate it, and don't see why so many people do.
i think wireless card whitelists should be illegal actually
Quick Smartphone Rant
honestly, why isn't this shit standardised? cars and the like have interchangeable parts between models or even different makes, but phones are completely fucking proprietary. COMPLETELY. want extra parts? the manufacturer doesn't sell em. is the third party reputable? who knows. even basic wear parts: batteries, charging ports, headphone jacks? those could be modular if the manufacturers wanted to keep stuff going for any amount of time after sale at all, but nooo, that can't happen, think of the profit margins. and headphone jacks: why aren't they everywhere? ik most people don't use em but there's already a DAC and amp in your phone for the speakers. including a bit of switching circuitry and a jack isn't that much of an ask. and for OS support? absolutely fucking barren. sure google does 7 years now, but what about 3rd party stuff? google's the exception, cuz lord knows samsung doesn't in my region and every single fucking phone is one of those or from apple.
anyways. taking suggestions for small (sub-6.5") screened phones with headphone jacks that are available in the americas and have custom rom support or not much bloatware ootb.
