About the xfactor yesterday...
Personally I think Janice and Armstrong are both good, their sing-off are both touching, so I don't think it's my place to say that husband and wife bias or simon only wants to see Louis fail (which I'm not saying he doesn't)
As for the Janice already has a stardom thing. I think the bar depends on the show. If the show deems her pass the requirement then she has the right to be in the show, and if the audiences are not okay with it, the argument should have rised way before episode 15.
But there're a few things I think that's a bit off.
Ayde kept using "deserve to stay" to describe her mentees, which sounds so so weird to me. Like, who doesn't deserve to stay? Don't know, if I were in Armstrongs place, it would certainly make me down and doubt myself for a bit, even though I know she didn't mean it.
Robbie didn't give a reason, which led him to where he is now I guess. It could be due to sometimes there's just no particular reason or no words to describe your decision or that's just how the show work (simon is always the focus ugh), but he probably still should say something more. I don't think the bias really stands because we could never tell he's influenced by his relationship or not. And it would also be unfair if he cant sided with ayde ever because of it.
simon. I don't like him in the first place so I certainly won't be fair, haha. He put himself in such a high chair which is so arrogant. If he doesn't think the songs suit them why didn't he mention that at the night 1? The dramatic effect was way too much and so unnecessary. The way he looked at louis after he made the decision said so so so much about what kind of person he is.
Louis. He really feels with his boys. He had went through the same thing before so he knows what to do and how they feel and he genuinely cares. (To be honest it's a bit weird to see him took up so much time in all his boys intro but maybe that's because that's how much time he dedicated to them. Still, I think the boys need to have more vivid images individually not just louis' mentees) Im not going to say he always makes the right decisions but the way he came across was so real. He stood with all the contestants. He starts from what they need, what the opportunities mean to them. The way he described all of them (not just his mentees) is the same. He treated them equally with the respect of them being artists. It's not like he simply felt bad that one is sent home, he felt bad because to the certain one his dream is stopped and he's rejected. And he thinks they have the potential to make it rather than an out so early and probably the only chance one ever get.
I didn't keep up with the show so I only got pieces of information through twitter, YouTube, instagram etc and ppl has always described louis as real, caring, down to earth, the best judge ever which I absolutely agree but sometime don't know if it's because my filter is way too heavy or if it's the fan power to make those kind of comments popular. But one small episode and now I truly understand why people would say that. He didn't pose like a successful singer who's eager for the dramatic effect and took the judge simply as a job, he is a friend and mentor that want to help all those brave people who follow their dreams, he wants to give them all he has, and he wants to be the one who wasn't there when he didn't know what to do back in the 2010. And I'm so proud of him. I'm absolutely honored to be his fans. What a man to look up to.
Anyone who mocks him for it or only wants to use him for views... don't think ppl will allow that kind of success... I don't even want to mention how they silence his mic when Robbie compared a band with 1d...
Anyway, in the end, in my viewpoint, don't hate Janice for this, don't vote for the boys Only bc they're louis' mentees. It's all the same, they are all people who work hard for their dreams. The true gem will shine till the end.
