     ”People? Yes. Steve Rogers? Decidedly not so much.”

Bucky chuckles and places a warm hand on his friend’s shoulder, giving it a tight squeeze. 

It's only natural for him to lean in to the hand at his shoulder but something clicks and he turns to his friend with a tilt of his head.

       "Was I supposed to?"

Fall for it, he means.

There was nothing quite like winter in New York. It'd been snowing the past 24 hours, and it didn't look like it would be stopping anytime soon. Gwen sighed as she turned the heat up in their apartment before going to take a seat on Bucky's lap, wrapping the both of them in a thick comforter. She hated the cold, hated the snow, and all she wanted now was to take a warm bath and-

She pressed a kiss to his shoulder before giving him a smile and tugging on his shirt. "Hey, come take a bath with me," she said as she got to her feet. Without waiting for a reaction from him she walked to into their bathroom, and turned the faucet on, filling the tub with warm water.

He’s surprisingly serious about it too. It’s not a big deal, he figures; not like it’s the first time he’s ever worn the other’s clothes — maybe the first time in a couple of decades. It’s nice to have a familiar scent around him though, even if it’s a little loose. Strange that Bucky still smells the same but it’s better than that last bottle of detergent he bought.

" — I'm assuming you've never seen Star Wars?"

He doesn't wait for his old friend to answer before he's tossing the DVD over to him from across the room. Time to try out the new player.

"Yes."

It's a very tentative yes. He’s not quite sure of his answer. He’s not in so much pain that he can’t walk, but he may not physically be able to. Wincing, he pulls himself up and puts weight down on his legs one at a time. There’s a quiet yelp and a stumble, and okay no, no he can’t walk.

"Shit. No, no I can’t walk. Just get out of here, Steve." 

He watches his friend stumble and there's barely a second before Steve is at his side with an arm hooked around his waist. There is no way he's leaving without Bucky. Not a chance.

"That's not going to happen, Buck."
