the lab was xinyu's little sanctuary during the hectic days in the hospitals . while the other doctors were running around taking calls and trying to balance a larger patient load , the pathologist was happy examining her little specimens under microscopes and identifying particular strands -- work she excelled in , but it could grow sort of lonely .

any visitor was special , so when the doors to her small office opened xinyu beamed out a smile and pushed out the only other chair in the room out to them . " you came all the way down to my little dungeon for a visit ? " her smile fell at the folder in their hands . " or you need me for a consult ? " @xhxnne

Jinsun stopped before Minseo, a small smile on his face. He'd waited, let him finish with the customer who was so clearly swooning over his attention, then stepped in before another could snatch him up.

He knew what Minseo's schedule was, which meant that he knew it was almost time for lunch. Lifting his hand, Jinsun held the take out bag within Minseo's line of sight. "Ready?" he asked, his smile widening. "I got your favorite."

"Do you really think so? They made a good impression on me as well, so I should probably stay a little longer the next time I visit you. We could even plan a pizza and movie night for them; I'm sure they would love it." Sungmin had learned a lot about the kids thanks to her. Since he had no siblings and a daughter under three, he initially didn’t know how to interact with them, but she gave him enough guidance, even though he could only visit sporadically.

"Okay, let’s head to my place, and I’ll go to the pharmacy later after we eat." The man enjoyed the tenderness of her touch, only pulling his hand away when he needed it to park the car. "Do you have everything?" he asked before getting out of the car to open the door for her.

After grabbing her purse, she takes one more look in his car and nods while climbing out to take his arm. It's the comforting warmth of him that draws her in and she can't ignore it. "Of course I really think so, I wouldn't have said it if I didn't. If we do that for them, they'll never want us to leave," Magi can already picture the looks on each child's face, the excitement etched into each distinct feature. "If you're free, maybe we can do it this Friday?"

The suggestion lingers in the air with a tinge of hope budding to see him again and it shows in the way she looks up at him. Her gaze softens when meeting his and the grip on his arm becomes a little tighter. "Are you two doing anything for Halloween?"

Haein was in the middle of finishing up some work that he had taken up part time when he received a call from Kiwoo.
