↹ for a best friend headcanon

Thorn, believe it or not, has a best friend; his name is Minho ( mr-choiminho ) who is also identified as ugly giraffe or the tree puppy!Thorn pees on. Now the two actually met when they were children (6 and 8 respectively); they went to the same school, and it was around the time that Thorn was getting bullied nonstop by the boys from the orphanage he used to live at. Minho found little Thorn covered in cuts and bruises shoved inside one of the lockers. Minho attended to all of Thorn’s injuries, took care of him and eventually they became friends for a while, however, after Thorn’s disappearance a few years later their friendship was forgotten (or so the fae forgot).

Come several years after Thorn had gone on his own, he’d met Minho again (we will not dwell on that because Minho’s mun and I haven’t worked out that yet). Their reunion was a little strange as Thorn had a bit of trouble recalling the important of the giraffe, but it didn’t take long for him to open back up and warm to the other again. So their relationship is actually endearing, what with Thorn constantly acting cold or mean to Minho one minute, then being kind and loving the next. He’s one of three people Thorn is ever so affectionate to.
