The coffee cup flew at his head and Kurtis barely ducked before it made contact with the wall behind him instead of his head. Under his breath he muttered to himself, “Why are Italians so angry?”

If he was being honest, he would have to admit that he had been looking for the vampire all night at the party. With his beautiful girl on his side, dressed in the short flapper dress that left him speechless when he first saw her in it, he still found himself looking for him. Kurtis knew that there was a better chance that he wasn’t going to show up he still thought he saw him once, but that ended up being someone else and he felt a bit stupid thinking that it was him, even for a second.
It was the reason why he found himself traveling to his husband’s penthouse, stopping outside of his door. Normally he would go in, his own key hanging heavy in his pocket, except he was in a special costume for the night and it made him a bit nervous to see his husband’s reaction. He was in a three piece, pin stripe suit, one that was given to him by Lucian himself. It was the reason why he was a bit nervous. The last time he had worn this particular suit was in the 1920’s, for one of the vampire’s parties. Knocking on the door, he waited, hoping to get a good reaction for this blast from the past.
dinner for two || kurtis & lucian
So far dinner wasn’t horrible. The tequila helped and the food…fuck the food was amazing. Kurtis had forgotten how a homemade meal tasted, one that reminded him of his grandmother none the less. He should have known to keep his guard up, that this was how Lucian always got him back into his arms but the tequila was going straight to his head, the weed was making him relaxed and the food was just adding more to the dangerous cocktail. Even if he was on his guard, a bigger part of him didn’t want to leave. This was where he felt the most relaxed even if he didn’t want to admit it.
Letting out another chuckle at what the vampire said, Kurtis lent back in his chair. His belly was full of food and yet he still kept finding more room to eat another bite after other. The spices danced on his tongue in the most delicious ways and honestly he was heaven. Shaking his head he picked up his fork and took another bite, this lips tugging in a smile. Chewing slowly he swallowed before asking, “Then what?” wanting to hear more of the story the man was telling.
Second Time Around || Lucian & Kurtis
Changed out of his scrubs and into normal people clothes, he rapped his knuckles on the door, nervous that he had indeed gotten the right address. The vampire had said it was above his work but Kurtis was still a bit wary, having not spent much time on this side of town. Shoving his hands into his jean pockets he rocked back and forth o his heels as he waited, shivering slightly. However the shiver was not from the cold but the new power raging through him. It wasn’t much, but whatever spell he did last night did give him some. It had been his first time dabbling into the dark magic, having always followed a mutual path, determined not to live up to his last name, but when he held the book in his hand...it felt right.
When the door opened and he saw that it was indeed the right one, Kurtis lent forward and placed a soft kiss upon the others’s cheek, flushing red slightly. “Uh...hi,” he said, a hand leaving his pocket to rub the back of his neck. There was something about Lucian that made him feel nervous and he couldn’t put his finger on it.
