MUTANT ABILITY: Divided Mind; Ash shares his body with another being who goes by the name Bones. Ash himself has the ability of bone manipulation which allows him to use his bones in either an offensive (e.g creating a spike from the palm of his hand, etc.) or defencive (e.g. Creating a shield from his ribs.). He can also regenerate himself (mainly his bones) instantaneously. He can also change the properties of his bones; the density for strength, make the hollow for better speed and agility
Bones has no real power of his own, other than Berserker Physiology. When Bones comes to the fore, Ash’s eyes change from their normal brown, to a bright, unnatural blue, with a slit for a pupil, with black sclera. When Bones activates his own power, he gains the ability to gain strength through his own anger, and he can use Ash’s power to his own advantage. However, Bones usually utilizes Ash’s power in a way that makes him look… inhuman. An armour made of bone begins to form, covering his entire body with the substance, including his face, which is covered by a mask. When Bones activates his power, he also suppresses any pain, before using it to hurt his foe.
WEAKNESS: Ash can only manipulate his own bones. He can manipulate other people’s bones, but with very high difficulty, as he must be touching the bones themselves. Also, using his power is very painful, as he still breaks the skin. His entire body is covered in scars, save his face (since he tries his best to keep his face looking normal.).
When Bones takes over, Ash usually has no recollection of what happens, unless Bones decides to show him. Bones can also ‘push’ Ash to the back burner, so to speak. This can happen at any given time, but happens more frequently through combat…hence Ash tries to refrain from any combat. He can also take over when Ash falls asleep.
ORIGINS: Ash had always heard of the Institute - ever since he could remember, the name would pop up in certain conversations. Usually between his parents, and it was usually talked about in hushed tones, like it was some sort of dark secret. When Ash began to show signs of his power, his parent’s, without hesitation, packed him off to the Institute.
