ionic {kyungsoo + jongin}
“You’re not actually studying, are you.” Kyungsoo glanced over the frames of his glasses at the newly-blonde Jongin.
Every time he looked up at the dancer, the other appeared more and more flustered and now the silvery locks stuck up in every direction. Kyungsoo had come with dinner earlier in the evening, with the promise of fun if they were productive. Between the detox and Kyungsoo’s own recovery from massive blood loss, they had both fallen behind in classes, especially chemistry. Their next exam loomed closer, leaving Kyungsoo nervous for Jongin’s ability to stay in Mugunghwa. Kyungsoo had only brought his suitcase to Caprius 119 a month ago, but already he found himself wanting after too many hours apart and today he’d spent most of the afternoon in front of a computer digging through dense research articles. Since he’d come through the door of Caprius 119 with a plastic bag of food, he’d only allowed a handful of kisses and touches, refusing the dancer at a certain point.
Apparently, the promise of the vague notion of fun wasn’t enough to keep Jongin focused on the dense material spilled out across glossy pages. In addition to the mussed hair, Kyungsoo swore the dancer kept scooting closer to him on the couch despite the textbooks in their laps.
“Jongin.” Kyungsoo sat up, tugging himself further from the dancer. “If we don’t pass this exam, we’re going to fail.”
Some of the material Kyungsoo remembered from his previous year of failure and he figured he was already picking up on the harder sections regarding orbitals and electron energy levels. Jongin he wasn’t so sure about and sitting for more hours pretending wouldn’t help him either.
He needed to apply pressure in some way or at least offer something more enticing than ‘fun.’ Perhaps the mini-test with rewards for correct answers. Kisses, bites, or touches would be enough, wouldn’t they?
