announcement: the melodrama series
after thinking about it for a while, i've decided to start a new series. some of you said that you'd like it if i actually posted the works i've (somewhat) written with soap opera-esque events and tones, which includes tropes such as mcd, major illness, and mental illness (among other things)... and angst will be an even bigger part of the work than it usually is ((≡ຶ◡≡ຶ))
works i have already somewhat written include:
ex!beomgyu moving on really quickly after a brutal breakup—devastating mc—and mc eventually moves on and gets married, but loses her husband (mcd...). the work focuses on the grieving period of getting broken up w by beomgyu, beomgyu's attempts at reconciliation until mc gets married and loses her husband, then the grieving period (passed with beomgyu) after mc's loss
bet!au with undecided member but with an (initially) unapologetically cruel male lead. in cruel intentions, beomgyu was genuinely remorseful from the beginning, but this male lead would be an asshole at first. major illness will play a part in this
arranged marriage!au wherein member hates mc, so mc leaves without a word and breaks the engagement for his sake. i already have an arranged marriage!au preview posted on here, but i realized as i was working on it that i wanted to take it further than usual
i realize that the things listed are not everyone's cup of tea, and that some may consider them overkill, but these are the kinds of things i've written for myself and they are what i work on when i can't focus on my established wip's. i beg that y'all don't jump me for being corny bc the entire point is to bring incredible amounts of drama LOL
our deal and clementine will still come first btw!
