fast-forward to south 3 and i've caught up a little bit, but a 20k difference is still pretty much insurmountable, especially this late into the game. oh well, i'm still in good position to snag second place.

oh shit, i just get three dora out of nowhere? nice, i should be able to score pretty well here as long as i just manage to win the hand.

all the 1-pins are long gone so it's a bit of a crappy wait, but of course i'm still gonna riichi here, it's a six-dora hand! my odds of actually winning the hand may be low (with only 17 tiles in the wall at this point, and just 3 winning tiles available) but i have to try. i have to.

and i get one more uradora to bump it up to baiman???

…which means i get enough points to not only bankrupt the shimocha, ending the match immediately, but also to overtake the opponent who got a chiihou earlier, and win.

…i'm not sure i'm ever gonna top that, to be honest

#for the record: getting any kind of yakuman hand is INCREDIBLY rare and valuable and usually more-or-less guarantees you a win on the spot #and a tenhou or chiihou (where your starting hand is already a finished winning hand) is particularly rare since it's completely luck-based #like about ⅟330000. 3-in-a-million. you might literally never even SEE one. so to not only witness it but BEAT THE PLAYER WHO GOT IT is nut #riichi mahjong #mahjong soul #yakuman

YOOOOOOO I JUST GOT MY SECOND EVER YAKUMAN

#started out with a pair each of east south AND north (after the first draw) plus a west so i knew i had to go for it right away #actually had a surprising amount of trouble winning the match afterwards (the kamicha and shimocha kept winning big hands)#and even just barely dipped into 2nd for a bit. but then i got a mangan off the toimen and bankrupted them‚ ending the match in my victory #shousuushii #little four winds #yakuman #mahjong soul #riichi mahjong

Comedy about a fierce yakuza who leads a secret double life as a popular Moe manga artist. Of course none of his gangster friends can ever find out about him drawing cutesy girls.
