The end of May means roses in the yard
Wildflowers we planted super late are still blooming
The fact I can only choose 10 photos of my garden is shameful.
the magic place
This was neat!
It knew I was here, I even talked to it before I pulled my phone out. Awfully fearless little thing!
I was confused about what it was doing until it was over on the wall, where I could finally tell it was trying to hide a seed!
First rhody bloom of the season in my yard - sweet!
Predictably, it has been raining for days in the Washington South Sound area…
Which sucks because I am TRYING to get my front yard certified as a wildlife habitat at home. But I need to do some work, and my front yard is all muddy.
I need to have the work done by March 16, when the native plant event is happening. Because at the event you can get your yard certified on the spot, instead of waiting for someone to come out and inspect.
Plus I’m already going there to buy native plants anyway, so might as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Problem is my soil is sooo filled with rocks I can’t dig down far enough to plant stuff.
…
And it literally just occurred to me that I can put the bird feeder stake in a giant pot. That way it’s secure and less likely to fall over. I think that’s the solution.
Wow - typing this all out has been extremely helpful!
