Test yarn for the Fereldan blanket. I couldn't decide if I'd rather use cotton or merino, or if I really liked the colours I saw on screen, so I ordered red and yellow of the sorts I liked because of the description, with a 5 mm hook in mind. Problem now is: I like the yellow of "Paris", the red of "♥ you 5" (both cotton, i.e. machine washable) and the feel of "Nepal" (Merino + Alpaca, i.e. hand wash). Way to go -.-" When I asked my heart's captain for his opinion, he immediately pointed to "Nepal", b/c he liked the colours and the feel. Sooo, I might have a slight inclination now. But the next step is doing gauge swatches with each of them, see how they feel when worked with, and then calculate how much skeins I would need.

There is this really pretty shade of Wool of the Andes yarn that I want to get for a pattern. The pattern calls for Aran weight though. The yarn I was looking at is supposed to be Worsted but KP's Worsted yarn seems to be more like a light Worsted or a DK yarn. If I double the WotA I wonder if I'll get the same chunky Aran feel or an overly chunky Bulky feel...
