Yarra Yering was the first of the new wave Yarra Valley wineries and there is a superb story behind it and its Co-founder and winemaker Bailey Carrodus. Bailey died back in 2008 but his wines still deliver as did this 2006 magnum last week, one of the last wines Bailey ever bottled that I bought from him direct after years trying to wrestle some wines out of him to sell through @wine_ark . Youthful and with decades ahead, it was classic Yarra Yering.
