The Voices of Time Bokan: Masaru Ikeda
This week's surprise mecha, roll out! Masaru Ikeda was a notable voice actor for the first four Time Bokan series. After voicing several minor characters in the original show, in Yatterman he provided the iconic voice of Yatter-Wan and most of the other Yatter-Mechas. He was also Nyaravolta in Zenderman and Tonman Manton in Otasukeman. Afterwards he parted ways with Tatsunoko, and he's one of the few surviving and active VAs who didn't return for subsequent spinoffs.
A lot of Ikeda's roles outside of Time Bokan are those of military figures of some fashion. Some of his better known credits are General Revil in the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Gel Sadora in Gatchaman II, Ikki Yoenda in the Sakura Taisen / Sakura Wars series, and Koreyoshi Kitamura in Death Note.
