Yaye App
The first item that I tried for this VoxBox was the Yaye app. It's basically an exercise tracking app that is goal based and it also track how many steps you take.It is also very focuses on group tracking and aside from that, it offers different programs to follow, from eating right (detoxes included) to beginner to advanced exercises. To be honest, I don't really exercise that much so I placed two days a week as my workout goal. As for the exercise group aspect, I didn't really like using it (I tend to keep to myself and seeing that it's mostly a group thing, I felt left out and different compared to those with a group to work out with).
Do I recommend this app? Yeah, if you have a group of friends and like to keep exercise goals in mind then this is the app for you. Since I don't have many contacts, I felt sort of strange using this.
Hormel Chicken Taco Meat
The second product that I tried was Hormel Taco Meat. Since it was a free coupon based item, I had to pick it up at the store. The product came in four flavors:Chicken, pork, beef crumbles, and beef. Since I don't eat beef and pork, I chose to try the chicken flavor. The chicken was shredded and according to the packaging, it was 100% natural, which is always a plus.
There was two ways to prepare it, microwaving and stove top. I mostly used the microwave method since it was quicker. I found that if I microwaved it with less seconds, it wouldn't dry out. I used it for two dishes, the first of which was mashed potatoes topped with the taco meat and broccoli and cauliflower salad and the second dish was a rice bowl that had the Hormel chicken taco meat, ranch dressing, and avocado.
Chicken Rice Bowl:
Serving: 1
1/2 cup of rice
Some of Hormel Chicken Taco Meat
1 tbs of ranch
1/2 of an avocado
Combine the ingredients
Do I recommend this product? Yes, it was delicious and quite versatile. The only thing I dislike about the product is the price ($5-$6). I can't really purchase it as much as I like. Other then that, I'd buy it.
Way Better Snacks Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips
I'm always on the lookout for a new bag of chips to enjoy and I'm glad this one was in this VoxBox. It's a natural chip that's made of flax seeds, chia seeds, and other protein filled ingredients. Once I took the first bite, I knew I liked the taste. To me, it tasted sort of like Cool Ranch. I had a hard time stopping and it took much effort in doing so. I save some for my mom, but she didn't really find them appealing. Oh well, more for me.
Do I recommend this product? Of course I do. They tasted so good to me. Like every other food item, not everyone is going to like everything. I can't wait to buy some.
Dr. Teal's Pure Epsom Salt Soaking Solution Soothe & Sleep Lavender
This product is the first time I tried Epsom salt. The first thing I've noticed when opening the package is the lovely scent coming from the package. The scent quickly spread throughout the room. The second thing I've noticed about the product when opening was it was filled to the brim. I had to be careful not to spill any while opening.
Since I don't have a bathtub (Shower only), I decided to use the product to soak my feet. The scent became stronger when the Epsom salt hit the warm water. It smelled so delightful. It really lives up to its name as it made me quite sleepy.
Do I recommend this product? Yes, it made me feel like I was at a spa. It's great to use when you have trouble sleeping (for me anyway).
Suave Professionals Biotin Infusion Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner
This is my first time using a Suave product so I was kinda nervous using it. The first thing I did was smell the product. It smelled just like any other shampoo and conditioner I've used in the past. I did my usual hair washing routine and followed the directions of both the shampoo and the conditioner.
The texture of the shampoo and conditioner was very creamy. It was also easy to wash out and it moisturized my scalp and hair, making it soft. Anything that makes my hair soft is always a plus with me. Not bad for a shampoo.
Do I recommend these items? Though I wasn't impressed with the smell, I liked the results. I would buy this again.
