more yby doodles bc i am OBSESSED. we got shifu's wife attempting the crime of BATH against xiao baiyi, taishifu consoling xiao baiyi with cuddles and giving him new clothes, and xiao baiyi meeting the bane of his existence the love of his life little baby rong changqing 🥺

some little doodles of ye baiyi for ye baiweek!!! i love he ;A; sooo i was just running some Scenarios thru my head, since we don't really know yby's back story i figure i might as well just.....make something up!! so i did lol. under the cut 😊

SO WHAT iF.....ye baiyi doesn't remember his family at all, he had been on the street alone from a very young age. he doesn't have a mother, he doesn't have a home, he doesn't even have a name. one day, an old man sees him fighting viciously against animals for food, and sees his innate potential for martial arts! coincidentally he is the retired master of a martial arts sect, wandering the jianghu and gaining merit, so he takes the half-feral boy in (with, uhhhhh, a few mishaps) and becomes his taishifu!!

taishifu is a really good man, whimsical but kind! he treats the lil boy gently, and teaches him, and names him ye baiyi (called little baiyi, xiao baiyi). the current sect leader, taishifu's son, doesn't like this at all, but he goes along with it. his wife hates it more! how dare taishifu prefer an urchin with no family to his own grandkids! is this because she only had daughters?? how dare he!! and she bullies xiao baiyi a bit. but he's quite serious! he acts like a tiny adult and follows taishifu everywhere, and taishifu explains everything to him as if he were a grown up, and they drink tea and play weiqi, like they were both lil old men together lol. he doesn't care if anyone bullies him, he's way too busy learning martial arts and making sure he has enough food.

BUT IF U BULLY SOMEONE ELSE?? he may be tiny but he is FEARLESS, and he will WRECK U!! bc taishifu doesn't like bullies!! and xiao baiyi does whatever taishifu does!! including protecting other ppl, even if he's not as patient or kindly as taishifu! >:(

anyway i love yby and i want to keep making stuff up about him bc it's fun :D

in which ye baiyi does indeed get a second chance, thanks to rong changqing inventing cross-dimensional time travel bc he misses his grumpy old friend so much ;A; it's really funny and sweet and i made a lil fanart for it lol
