HI TIM trick or treat !! 🧛‍♀️

hiiiii ignore how late this is but i was Consumed by the idea of doing a silly little drawing for this and well. it spiraled and i put wayyyy too much effort into what was supposed to be a like. 10 second drawing.

(this is my first real attempt at digital art after not drawing at ALL for about a million years okay. please be nice to me.)

silly pic of an excited jaybin n hel b huntress!! i was thinking abt the post you made the other day and then halloween happened and i was thinking abt siblingisms and.. huntress n a excited jaybin in the most basic ghost costume ever. in my head, it was halloween n jay ended up hanging out w huntress n mentioned something about trick r treating nd how he kinda wished he could go. so they acquired a ghost "costume" (read: sheet) (& yes.. the costume was necessary bc he was still recognizably the Actual Robin) and... a robin themed little trick r treat bucket because Of Course. nd she took him around a bit so he got to be a kid n idk be kinda silly n childish

n this is after ft. the very excited jaybin abt to recount the night to batman n hel is beside him like "say one negative thing to him right now and i swear i will GET you. i don't care who you are don't ruin this for him."

/gen questions about the plurality post, sorry this is lengthy

so what ive had is that like. my thoughts are really jumpy. pretty uncontrolled, not really "intrusive" thoughts, more like improv that im not even doing. if that makes any sense. i have this thing where i kinda have aspects of my personality seperated? (i.e. "inner child" is one character, "chaotic mood" is another character, etc. if that makes sense. i call them characters because thats the closest thing i can describe.) theyre not entirely seperate, and they seem to like. come and go over a period of a few months (for a couple months i barely have anything like this, and then for like a couple weeks all these "characters" are active. its only happened a couple of times, but enough to be a little confusing)

sorry this is so long and is also barely any information, im not like trying to have you diagnose me or anything like that ofc, i just wonder if that sounds like anything you know?

oh that does actually sound a lot like what i have going on (albeit my "characters" tend to be uhh. less defined by Traits and more by Vibes)! honestly feel you very strongly especially on the 'improv that im not even doing' thing - uhh. but yeah. that does remind me a lot of my experiences as a median system, maybe look into that or related labels?

unfortunately i cant think of anything more specific off the top of my head, mostly due to my personal refusal to identify with anything more than the broadest umbrella terms :p sorry!

New Challenge: I gotta draw for minimum one hour a week and post it, even if I think it's bad or think I should have gotten more done within an hour.

Will it be good? Fuck no. I haven't practiced drawing on a regular basis in... 8 years? Somewhere around there.

Do I know what I'm doing? Fuuuck no. I don't know what a majority of the shit on ClipStudio does and I currently lack the attention span for tutorials. Even when drawing with pencil, I cannot figure out line density. I used to be decent at drawing, and what little skill I had is mostly gone from lack of use.

Will I improve? Maybe. An hour a week isn't much, but at least it's building up a habit I can expand upon to actually start improving. I'm gonna make a tag for it, "Rivki's Art Challenge," to try and keep track of any progress I do make.

Even if it's just drawing Raivis or Peter's face every week, it's something to grow more comfortable with figuring out shapes and making my hand do what I want it to.

Here's a chihuahua I drew at work a few weeks ago and then digitized at home.

It took longer than you'd think because I was messing with all the different pen tools to figure out how to make the linework feel appropriately wonky without being too wonky. I redrew this more times than I can count.

when they don't know you're there. you want to see who they are at their core. your love smiles for you. they put on a brave face. they tell you off when you're out of line and they encourage you when you know your mistakes are piling up. they're the one who is always there. but there are moments you catch them unawares and that is when you watch them. you want to see the expression their face takes when they aren't being brave for you. you want to see how they smile when it isn't designed to lift your own burdens. you want to see what they say to everyone else. how they talk about you. how everyone else encourages them or if they let anyone be there at all. you want to see what is underneath it all so you can prove that's who you love. the parts of them they try to hide. the parts they think you don't already know and adore.
